Salazul

Branding and concept development for Salazul, a seafood restaurant and sushi bar inspired by the movement of the ocean. The brand draws from the fluid shapes of waves and the organic patterns found in fish scales, creating a visual identity that feels fresh, modern, and subtly refined.

The name combines sal (salt) and azul (blue), capturing the essence of the sea and the character of the restaurant: approachable, youthful, and elevated. Its signature illustration—a distinguished octopus with a top hat—adds personality and charm, echoing the flowing silhouettes of the ocean while giving the brand a memorable touch.

A palette inspired by marine blues and natural seafood tones completes the system, extending into “Fresh Market,” Salazul’s line of vacuum-sealed products. Overall, the identity reflects the brand’s core values: freshness, quality, and a contemporary take on coastal cuisine.
